Values

This morning I was listening to Gary Thomas talk about his book 'Sacred Parenting' and he noted, rightly so, that character is more important than achievement. If you gain the whole world but have no patience, faithfulness, self-control etc or are unethical, what have you really gained?

I need to remember that the building of character is not an overnight incident, but the steady, consistent application and demonstration over time.

'Education without values as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.'
C S Lewis
