The Kite Runner
"When you kill a man, you steal a life. You steal his wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness."

My fathers flowers
My dad bought all the ladies in his life red roses this past week.
What a thoughful gesture! They look so vibrant and full of life.

Day dreaming of the Cotswolds on this Tuesday
We were chatting to Wayne's mom about rural England over the weekend and it made me day dream
Such happy memories of green hills and stone cottages and churches!
Also special as my beloved Miss Read's novels are set there... who said
"happiness is the result of an attitude of mind. I believe you can build it out of small things..."
And we were happy there doing small lovely things like walking, talking, tasting
and taking in all the ancient beauty.

Mothers Day
Happiness is... waking up to this poster made by my sweet girl.
Then breakfast with my mother. And a long lazy afternoon where I actually
napped (the greatest of gifts) while Rebecca finished studying.
Love her!

Bright hues of Bougainvillea
This thorny beauty grows rampant over fences onto public areas throughout our area.
A branch brought indoors brightens up the whole room.
