Just started a new book and this is just bliss...

After winter

On Sundays its lovely to get out of the city and drink in the landscapes.

We have winter rains so by this time of year its all dry but still beautiful.

Gardening in Cape Town

The water restrictions are building our muscles... buckets/watering cans only.

Now this is a kiddies dream table

Becca and I went to a kids party and this is a picture of the cake table (there was another table with delicious goodies) - so many edible delights the kids were in sweet heaven.

Pickles

We eat a lot of pickles at our place... sauerkraut, beetroot, curry beans, and these gherkins which are the easiest to make and the jars are empty in days.

The last few days

The last few days have been busy ones as it always is at this time of year.  Entailing deep cleaning of wardrobes and pantry, planning, christmas gift shopping, studying for exams, spring planting and garden cleaning.  Going to local markets is always a good way to get refreshed and restocked.

My girl normally leaves with something sweet... this time it was brownies.

Actually its usually brownies if they are not sold out.
