Favourite drink

I was sceptical when I heard about Golden Milk (or Tumeric Latte) but its so good and easy... heat milk, add turmeric, honey, cinnamon and a tiny bit of black pepper.  Lovely just before bed. Yum.

At the scent of water

Nothing is hopeless...

Job 14:7-9 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

Sometimes our season feels dry but no season lasts forever.  I was talking with a friend who had a heavy load.  The economy, family issues, sickness, stress, insults and on and on... the list of things to despair over is too long. But,

'at the scent of water'.. the lightest touch of hope, we can bud again.  One of the most poetic scriptures.  Never lose hope.  Breathe. Choose life.

I love that is says of Abraham, that contrary to hope in hope believed.  Don't we all want that kind of faith.  We cannot lose heart as our children are watching which way we will turn in these times.  Fix your eyes on the promises... not just buds but boughs.
 

Coleslaw

This is a family favourite... we usually have a bowl of the stuff in the fridge. It's so vibrant looking and goes with most meals.

The highlight of her week

Going to the farm has been the highlight of Becca's week for the last few months!

Her winter schedule doesn't allow for it but we will be back in the Spring.

Basics are best!

Been eating this since I could chew.  Still my favourite sandwich!
