Sew: a needle pulling thread

It sounds so simple but I am domestically challenged...

Rebecca's dress for the dance concert needed adjusting and her beloved teddy (this thing is as old as she is) needed a leg mended...
My mother normally does this kind of thing for me but she was overseas! Yikes!
Sewing sounds so easy to those that can do it blindfolded but it took me 3 days on and off to mark and stitch these items!

At least it all looked right(ish) when I was finished. Happy Day!

A more mellow pace

 

Term is now winding down -  lunch and shopping was in order after a couple of crazy weeks! Love this girl to the moon and back!

Last night we had grilled hake with a very hot asian marinade on a bed of green beans and broccoli.

The weekend

It was a busy weekend with Becca's concert taking up most of Saturday. 
It was titled 'Brighter' and it was beautiful!!

This is an exhausted girl after the show.

She had a little energy before the show to make us smoothies!

Yesterday was just for down time! Church and then comfy clothes and movies on the couch
with leftovers and sushi!

Spring in knocking on winter's door... I'm coming in

Gearing up for the concert

We went to the Wellness Warehouse where we bought so much amazing organic stuff, including coconuts and lovely bread.  Becca also had the yummiest "choc" (not really chocolate) muffin.

 

Wayne made cauliflower cakes... I hope he wrote it all down because they were really delicious.

Trying to think sugar-free

Just a few days ago, I was sticking whatever I wanted in my mouth but it is a new month and it's almost summer so we are trying to do a sugar-free September....

 

and not think about end of August's lovely cupcake sale at church... there were cupcakes to suit every taste bud.  I made blueberry ones and chocolate ones... moist, fluffy, sweet - come October!! 



Maybe the right idea is not to think of it at all...
