Saturday and Sunday

 

Saturday was our ladies gathering at church... 'Sisterhood', with lovely welcome treats on

entering the building.  These are real men - serving cupcakes and all!  The message was on

cultivating courage... it really got me thinking - a word in season!

 

Manuela made nachos this week and sent me a pic... well, that really got the

taste buds going, so finally on Sunday evening we made a batch ourselves.

A little reading

He set two places at the counter and took the bubbling sausage casserole from the oven.  There would be no diet this day.  Then, he turned on the record player and heard the familiar, if scratchy, strains of the Messiah.
Dooley appeared at the kitchen door, dressed in the burgundy robe. "Sounds like a' army's moved in down here."
"My friend, you have hit the nail on the head.  It is an army of the most glorious voices in recent history, singing one of the most majestic musical works ever written!"
Dooley rolled his eyes.

We baked heart-shaped chocolate muffins yesterday so that they would be ready this morning for our valentine.  Us two girls with chocolate fingers and laughing mouths.

And later I tuck my girl in and tell her as I often do... "to the moon and back my girl" and she returns with "to the moon and back, times infinity"



Have a dosage of love everyday! The greatest of moments are always in love.

Baking as a Mrs

This cake is my sister's first baking attempt as a married woman.  A domestic goddess seems to be emerging... doesn't this chocolate cake look amazing?

Jam making

Before the last of our cherries and apricots spoiled, I made jam.  Last summer was less successful, so I kept myself in the kitchen and my eye on the pot.  Turned out great - very fruity!!

Fund raising

Rebecca's school has a cycle race as an annual fund raiser - it was on Saturday.  One day a year all the parents get involved and do their bit..  We help with water points.

We have just set up.  The calm before the storm... once the cyclists start coming, its all hands on deck.

Sunday was wonderful & relaxed...

Rebecca had Athletics Day! And special it was... the last one of primary school.

 

I took her for lunch and we had the best table!
